Bound to a Palace Intrigue System, I Transmigrated

Xu Miao, a modern-day corporate drone, transmigrates after an elevator accident into the body of Xu Miaoyi, the eldest daughter of an eighth-rank official in the Yin Dynasty. Just as the new emperor ascends the throne and launches a grand selection of consorts, her pretty face gets her shoved into the palace by the county authorities and appointed a Talented Lady.

Xu Miao had planned to live like a parasite, eating and living at the state's expense. Unfortunately, fate has other plans, and troublemakers keep picking on her. Xu Miao whips out her palace intrigue System: “Fine, fine! If I can't be happy, then nobody gets to be happy!”

In short: a satisfying tale of a woman rising from Talented Lady to empress.
