A Fantastical World from the Start, and My Golden Finger Is a Heart Demon

[Urban + fantasy + cultivation + power fantasy + battles + a little imagination]

To improve my cultivation, my uncle and master used a Heart-Sky Talisman to create a heart demon named Motian Qi.

But Motian Qi wanted to take over my body and replace me.

Later, Motian Qi won my uncle's affection, and my uncle turned him into a golden finger for me. The problem is, that golden finger keeps trying to get my uncle to beat me up...

I asked, “Uncle, what's the point of making me practice martial arts and cultivate the Dao? Wouldn't it be better if I just lived an ordinary life? Why do we have to fight and kill?”

My uncle said, “At the highest levels, martial arts let you split a river with one finger, walk through the air, shatter mountains and rivers with your fists, break through the void, make your body indestructible, and regenerate from a drop of blood...”

I couldn't help staring at him in disbelief. It felt like I was dreaming. My eyes were wide as saucers, and none of it seemed real.

My uncle went on: “Cultivating the Dao means cultivating the truth, separating the false from the true! You can catch ghosts and ward off evil, subdue demons and exorcise monsters, fly through the air, and even live forever and ascend to immortality...”

I...

My uncle sighed. “I have three reasons for making you cultivate. First, you're pretty perceptive. Second, I want to pass down the Lan Clan's Yin Plate Qimen Dunjia tradition. Third, I raised you, and I don't want to bury you before I die.”

“A Few Words from the Author”

First, the protagonist's golden finger has a reasonable origin. He doesn't start out with it already bound to him; it only becomes his golden finger more than thirty chapters into the story.

Second, this book isn't just a fast-paced power fantasy. It also has some slower-paced elements.

Finally, this novel focuses on conflict, battles, fiery passion, cultivation, and scheming. Although there is a female lead, there is no romantic relationship development.
