This book is very practical and allows me to see the impact of society on young people. Balzac's description is very delicate, making me feel like I was in Paris of that era. This reminds me of "The Great Gatsby", which also writes about the gap between ideal and reality. But "Disillusionment" is more brutal. I think the writing style of this book is very vivid and the characters are very distinct. Just like Lucien and David in the book, their experiences are heart-wrenching. This book is really worth reading!
