Storms Across the Nine Wastes

A hundred thousand years ago, a dark upheaval swept across Tianhuang. Tiandu, one of Tianhuang’s ten domains, was reduced to ruins. The Ruyi Heavenly Pearl, a treasure that held the destiny of the Great Dao and protected the domain, was accidentally lost in the vast cosmos. As a result, the Great Dao of the ancient Tianhuang Star was damaged and the Heavenly Dao became incomplete. For a hundred thousand years, no one attained sainthood, and the world was renamed the Nine Wastes.

A hundred thousand years later, Yun Ying, a space explorer for Earth’s Interstellar Alliance, was exploring the stars aboard his spacecraft when he encountered a spatial storm. The damaged ship lost its power and was captured by the ancient star of the Nine Wastes. Protected by a miraculous suit of armor, he survived, but the massive explosion caused by his ship’s super-speed landing blasted a bronze palace buried deep underground into the open.

Soon, news that an ancient sage’s tomb might have appeared swept across the Nine Wastes. A chance to attain sainthood set the whole world in motion. The curse that had denied the world a single sage for a hundred thousand years was about to be broken, and the Nine Wastes would enter their most glorious age yet.
