Shen Yin, who came from a synchronized swimming background, accidentally became the coach of the boys’ competitive swimming team at Yuying Middle School. On her very first day, she kicked the team’s star swimmer, Fang Yan, off the squad, making an enemy of the unruly young man.
But Shen Yin never regretted her decision, despite all the trouble she faced after dismissing Fang Yan. Using every means at her disposal, she won over the team members who had looked down on her from the start. Along the way, she struck up a different kind of spark with the former captain, Fang Yan, and the other swimmers. Gradually, the team that had once finished last in every competition began to improve.
They even fought their way up the ranks, thriving in Yuying Middle School’s athletics department until everyone agreed that Shen Yin was a good coach.
Everyone said Shen Yin had turned a terrible hand into a winning one, but she didn’t see it that way. In an interview, she said she didn’t believe a bad hand could become a winning one. If her swimmers were achieving good results now, it could only mean they had been winners all along.
As Shen Yin pursues championship titles as the head coach of the competitive swimming team, her synchronized swimming career is also entering a new phase. Now that she faces the same two choices, which path will she take?
There’s also Lu Yizhou, the withdrawn prodigy who has finally broken through his emotional barriers to confess to her, and Fang Yan’s awkward, innocent stirrings of affection…
This is the story of young men and women growing up, and of one overworked office worker making her way through the workplace.
