You, So Radiant

This novel is adapted from the original television screenplay of the same name by chief screenwriter Li Xiaoqi and screenwriters Zhao Lingfang, Lian Yi, Xu Nuo, Xu Shiyu, and Xie Jing.

After graduating in the United States, Kang Ziyou returns home and, following years of hard work, takes a job as sales and administrative director at the medical aesthetics center opened by her best friend, Lin Qianyu. She is capable and efficient, boosting the company’s performance year after year, but at home she’s a slob and hopeless at looking after herself. She relies entirely on her daughter, Kang Ni, born to her and her ex-husband. Raised by her maternal grandmother, Kang Ni is a whiz at housework and has a strong interest in cooking and table settings, bringing her mother a wonderfully varied array of meals. After Kang Ni meets an older schoolmate, her mother repeatedly interrupts their dates because she needs looking after. Kang Ni longs to live her own life, but finds it hard to leave her mother behind. Then a sudden ripple disturbs their peaceful but amusing routine: a new doctor, Nie Yunze, joins the center. From then on, the messy Kang Ziyou and the fastidious Nie Yunze clash at every turn, but grow closer all the same.
