After Binding to the Landscape System: I Worked It to the Bone

In a world teeming with demons and monsters, Xiao Jing somehow binds herself to a Landscape System. It requires her to travel across the land, from one end of the world to the other. She can unlock a new feature only after reaching a new kind of terrain.

Xiao Jing starts out on foot, then gets a shape-shifting wooden horse, followed by a flying camper van, then a flying castle, and eventually even a whole city that can uproot itself and move...

Along the way, Xiao Jing and her two scoundrel companions pick up a bodyguard who “ran away” halfway through the journey, a frustrated schoolteacher, a martial arts instructor whose backside has been thoroughly beaten, a fortune-telling boy whose predictions never come true, and a group of eight missing limbs between them...

Xiao Jing’s motto is: Better to “travel” with a group than “go to hell” alone. I don’t care if you’re a god, a demon, or a human, I’ll rope you into protecting me while I tour the world!

And you, System: if I don’t wear you out until you’re a skinny dog, I’m done for!

But later, the System said with feigned helplessness:

“My Host was clearly an ancient-era ‘travel blogger.’ How did our check-in crew get bigger and bigger, and her fanbase keep growing, as she traveled? How did she even topple an incompetent ruler’s throne by accident, then end up wearing the crown before she knew it? Well, I suppose the capable have to do more!”
