In March of the seventy-first year of Xichen, the Northern Qin army invaded. The third prince Ouyang Lie took the emperor's order and led a million troops out to defend the enemy. The battles were unfavorable; in September of the seventy-first year of Xichen, at the Battle of Xingmenguan, the third prince Ouyang Lie died together with the enemy generals and died on the battlefield; in October of the seventy-first year of Xichen, the Northern Qin Dynasty signed an armistice contract.
