Dying for My Country

With the road ahead blocked and the empire on the brink of collapse, how impossibly hard it is for one person to hold it all together. Jiang Ning'an died on the snowy night the Jiang Kingdom fell, choosing to take her own life for her country. Perhaps Heaven was watching over her, or perhaps the gods took pity on her: she returned to the eight months before the kingdom's fall. Yet even with another chance, being a woman made every step perilous, and she had to tread with extreme caution. When she reached the end of the story again, all she could do was watch the dynasty collapse and the empire fall. She picked up her sword once more, but this time her hands did not tremble as they had before. She closed her eyes for the last time on that frigid, snowy night when her country fell.

“I am a princess of the Jiang Kingdom, raised by its people. Now that my country has fallen, as its princess, I must give my life for it.”
