Meng Yancheng * Fu Qin: A rule-abiding psycho * a psycho who follows no rules
(You read that right: the heroine will ultimately take the surname Fu and become the next Fu Wenying. I’m going to give Meng Yancheng true freedom.)
At its root, the Meng family’s tragedy stems from Fu Wenying’s abnormal need for control, Xu Qin’s selfishness and lack of judgment, and the weakness in Meng Yancheng’s character. The most tragic thing about the original heroine is that from beginning to end, she exists only as a sacrifice for the original male lead: an empty shell without a will of her own.
This story combines the settings of the TV drama and the original novel, but changes the direction of the plot. The heroine Xu Qin will no longer be weak and selfish. Instead, she’ll be independent to her core, pursue what she wants, and refuse to be shackled by anyone’s moral pressure.
If the heroine is strong enough, can she change this tragedy?
The heroine’s main mission is to help her brother escape the life Fu Wenying has built for them.
Meng Yancheng remains trapped by his family duties, destined to give up his own feelings. The only thing he asks of life is that his younger sister not become an emotionless machine like him. They may be the outstanding children of the Meng family, but they deserve lives of their own, too.
I like guys who ride flashy motorcycles, but I’m not love-brained, so I became a motorcycle girl.
“Big brother, I love you. Once I’m strong enough, I’ll take you away!”, Xu Qin
“I always thought the kitten I brought home was sweet and obedient. I never expected her to turn into a snarling lioness. You’re a real handful when you don’t behave.”, Fu Wenying
“Mom, look at my face. This is your son. For all these years, every day has been worse than death for him. Can’t you see that at all?”
Meng Yancheng
I like it very much 😘
Very good, very good, I like Xu Qin very much
