What Do You Do When Your Archrival Is Your Childhood Friend?

[Childhood sweethearts, love and hate]

Yuan Shiyun and Pei Yanze had never gotten along. Every time they met, they bickered. While everyone else wanted a childhood sweetheart, Yuan Shiyun and Pei Yanze couldn’t stand the sight of each other.

One day, Yuan Shiyun was chatting with a classmate on their way home. Her classmate envied her for having such a handsome childhood friend.

“What childhood friend? Have you ever seen one who looks like that? They say good-looking childhood friends are sweethearts, but ugly ones are just the neighbors next door,” Yuan Shiyun said earnestly.

“What a coincidence, running into you here, neighbor.”

Pei Yanze appeared out of nowhere, said that to her, then strode off without looking back.

What was that supposed to mean? Yuan Shiyun froze for a moment, then realized.

Later, one day, Yuan Shiyun discovered that she had fallen for Pei Yanze. She knew she was doomed.
