The One Being Watched

[Two Male Leads] [Healing] [Secret Crush] [Mystery and Crime-Solving] [Angst]

Wang Qinghe is steady, upright, reserved, and lonely in his search for truth. Xu Mu is shy, cautious, and insecure, but unexpectedly bold.

Scene One:

Xu Mu stops in his tracks. He's so nervous that his body trembles slightly. Blushing, he says, "You're practically a regular customer now. Would you mind adding me on WeChat?"

Wang Qinghe looks up, his eyes passing over the young man's hands clasped together in front of him. He replies gently, "Sure."

Scene Two:

Wang Qinghe sets down his cup and asks Xu Mu, puzzled, "What are you looking at?"

The tips of Xu Mu's ears turn red. He says softly, "Nothing."

"You didn't reply to the message I sent you." Wang Qinghe casually picks up a marker from the counter, twirling it deftly between his fingers.

Xu Mu hurriedly picks up his phone and opens their chat. After a moment's hesitation, he pushes it over. "I did reply..." You were the one who didn't answer.

Scene Three:

Xu Mu blinks, wipes away his tears with his arm, and says with a smile, "You mean An'an? Don't make such a big deal of it. It's only a cat."

Wang Qinghe presses his lips together. He doesn't like it when Xu Mu pretends to be strong in front of him. It makes him feel like a fool, and a fool Xu Mu doesn't trust, at that.
