This story will reveal the ugly side of the era and dispel the fantasies some girls have about becoming a warlord's concubine. Inspired by history, it shows how little control we have over our lives when we are born into turbulent times. Without war, massacres, or superstition, perhaps we could have lived happily ever after. Patriotism and romance. This work is told in the first person from both the male and female leads' perspectives. Some chapters may be split into two, one from the male lead's perspective and one from the female lead's, and there may also be other perspectives. Each perspective covers different events, which I will clarify in the author's notes.
