The Golden-Winged Great Roc

In the ancient age of the gods, the Creator, the Great God Brahma, had two daughters. The elder was named Kadru, and the younger Vinata. Both sisters were breathtakingly beautiful and were hailed as the two great beauties of the gods. Later, the Great God Brahma betrothed them both to his trusted aide, the enlightened sage Kashyapa. Delighted to have two lovely wives, Kashyapa bestowed favors upon them and invited each to make a wish.
