In the Immortal Martial Era, 150,000 years into the Wanli reign, a realm war broke out. One great emperor after another fell. The Su family's leader, the Ancient Martial Emperor, led his clan in a final battle, holding off an invasion of the Immortal Realm by an external domain. But the Su family suffered devastating losses: the Ancient Martial Emperor and all twenty-five Ancient Saints fell in battle. Meanwhile, the major factions within the Immortal Realm coveted the Ancient Martial Emperor's legacy and each had their own schemes, launching attacks on the Su family. With no other choice, the entire clan went into hiding, waiting for the Su family's next imperial heir to be born. On the martial arena, Soul Masters emerge. The young Su Yang rises from the ruins of a fallen imperial clan, inherits his ancestors' legacy, awakens the Heaven-Devouring Dragon Soul, conquers the Nine Wastelands, brings an end to the ages, sweeps aside the peerless prodigies of his generation, and leads the Su clan to restore the glory of an ancient imperial house.
