"The Analects of Confucius" is a collection of disciples of Confucius, an ancient Chinese thinker who ranks among the top ten historical celebrities in the world, recording the words and deeds of Confucius. It was written in the early Warring States Period. Due to Qin Shihuang's burning of books and the suppression of Confucianism, by the Western Han Dynasty there were only oral transmissions and the manuscripts obtained from the wall of Confucius' residence. There are 20 chapters and 492 chapters in the Analects, of which about 444 chapters record conversations between Confucius and his disciples, and 48 chapters record conversations between Confucius and his disciples.
Reader comments
The book is very good and the translation is perfect
How can one be a gentleman?
Thanks to Confucius, when you are young and your blood is not yet settled, be wary of sex.
I think this book "The Analects of Confucius" is great! It contains many interesting conversations between Confucius and his disciples, which gave me a deeper understanding of Confucius' thoughts. I particularly like Zi Lu, who is straightforward and sincere, and Zigong, who is smart and eloquent. This book not only has concise language, but also vividly displays the characters. It is really worth reading!
Translation is in place and the language is refined
