As a lover of Gu Long's novels, I have also selected four books for Gu Long as his "four masterpieces", which are "The Prodigal Son of the Border Town", "Seven Weapons", "The Sentimental Swordsman" and "The Happy Hero". I did not include books such as "The Legend of Lu Xiaofeng", "The Legend of Chu Liuxiang", "Wulin Foreign History" and "Peerless Two Prides" because I think the first four books can maturely represent the characteristics of Gu Long in terms of ideological taste, language operation and character description.

This book reminded me of my love for martial arts novels as a teenager. Just like the author trading steamed buns for martial arts novels, I also tried my best to read a favorite book. "Drunken Eyes Watching Gu Long" is not only an interpretation of Gu Long's novels, but also made me feel a nostalgia for youth and a love for literature. It made me re-examine the books that accompanied me through my youth, and also made me cherish those good times even more.
