After a turn of events leaves lion dancer Shao Qiao afraid to perform, he gives it up and later joins a gang. Five years later, he meets Lu Mingsheng, a lion-dancing enthusiast. Moved by Lu Mingsheng, Shao Qiao eventually helps him become Guangzhou's greatest lion dancer.
