Water Margin, one of China's four great classics, was written by Shi Naian during the late Yuan and early Ming dynasties. Based on the Songjiang Uprising in the late Northern Song Dynasty, he described many heroic stories. Some of the most popular novels have been selected as Chinese textbooks for primary and secondary school students.
This version of Water Margin is performed by Xiao Pudao, the youngest disciple of Mr. Shan Tianfang, the master of storytelling. Based on the original version of Water Margin, with slight adjustments and interpretations, we strive to tell an honest version of Water Margin for everyone.
