[Zombie apocalypse + strong heroine + no romance + team + base-building + hoarding money and supplies + no face-slapping]
The apocalypse began with a night of blood rain that lasted until dawn.
When the sun rose the next day, some people gained special abilities and became superpowered; others turned into zombies, their souls condemned to the earth below while their bodies became killing machines.
Shi Jun could only think how unlucky she was. After inheriting her family’s priceless fortune, she hadn’t even had time to enjoy it before she was bound to some inexplicable thing calling itself a Supermarket System. It also told her that the apocalypse was coming, that she would die in its fifth year, and that humanity would be wiped out in its seventeenth.
So she was pushed into the deep end and set off on the run with the Supermarket System.
As long as she deposited real-world money into her personal account in the Supermarket System, she could buy anything at the all-purpose supermarket.
While everyone else stockpiled supplies, Shi Jun hoarded money. While others fought to the death over a single loaf of bread, Shi Jun strolled away with tens of billions in currency earned by clearing out libraries. While others worked hard just to buy a few square meters of space in a national base, Shi Jun built the Hope Base at a wave of her hand: tens of thousands of square meters, with the highest possible security.
At first, Shi Jun only wanted to protect herself and live in peace through the apocalypse. But with zombies running rampant and nine out of ten people dead, she looked at the countless faces struggling in agony and thought: If someone has to save the world and end the apocalypse, why can’t it be her?
With the Supermarket System in hand, she swears to lead all of humanity through the apocalypse.
The first 22 chapters are pretty good, and the heroine is crisp and clear too. Until Chapter 23, when a thief is accepted, he is described as being so powerful and highly intelligent. Isn't this the configuration of a story about a 22-year-old vice president of a large company? Why should a thief be so highlighted and his IQ is lower than that of the heroine? The heroine also has to take the lead in using her own resources to raise and upgrade the male partner. What a peerless nanny. I cried to death. The result of this man stealing the heroine's things is that he can eat and drink the heroine's food safely and enjoy the heroine's support to upgrade him. This is not the supporting actor, this is the male protagonist. This kind of heroine/male protagonist novels are most taboo with supporting characters being set up to be the male protagonist of romantic dramas (22 years old + young and promising + high IQ + room for space). Pure and simple is to rob the protagonist of the spotlight.
