The Soul-Seducing Sect's rule is "Never sleep with anyone who isn't a beauty." When they set out to assassinate Wang Chen'an, the Great Zhao's foremost military governor, the sect leader Xie Bu'er was so captivated by his looks that he decided to rape him before killing him. Unfortunately, Wang Chen'an had no interest in women, and he beat up the sect's only male disciple, who had gone to offer himself to him.
With their sect facing destruction, their senior sister Xiao Fengyu arrived as reinforcements. With only half of her "bewitching face," she managed to win Wang Chen'an over.
Twelve years ago, Xiao Fengyu and Wang Chen'an first met in a foreign land. She was a high-born hostage, and he was a fledgling hero.
She fell into the abyss of fate, and he risked everything to take her hand.
The Soul-Seducing Sect members thought they had found a mighty tree in Wang Chen'an to shelter them from the storm. But they never expected that the tree would try to take its own life and fall, sending them down an even more perilous path.
