I'm currently a high school senior, and my writing skills are limited, so I can only hope you'll enjoy this. The first 35 or so chapters are all handwritten drafts, so the pacing is very fast. Things should get a little better later on. My classmates have read the drafts and praised them widely. I hope you enjoy the story, and if you don't, please don't flame me. The book isn't about an apocalypse full of zombies: zombies only appear early on, while other planes are introduced in the middle. The main focus is mecha, followed by a war between gods and humans and the search for the mastermind behind it all... Here's one of the story's tearjerker moments, hehe (。ಡωಡ。) Thanks!
“Jiang Buzheng! Hang on!” He tore off the pendant and pressed it against the huge wound in Jiang Wai's left chest.
“It's no... use...” Jiang Wai parted his lips slightly, his voice growing fainter. “Xian Yu... live... well... in the fu... ture... it's ours...” He never finished speaking. His hand fell limp.
“Jiang Buzheng! Jiang Buzheng! Wake up! Don't go to sleep!” he roared. “Don't leave me! Didn't we promise we'd stand at the very top together? Don't you dare fall!”
His shouts gradually died away, until only sobs remained. It was as if he were the only person left in the world, holding a corpse that was growing cold.
After three days of overcast skies, the rain finally began to fall.
Xian Yu didn't cry. The raindrops had simply grown warm.
“I'm fine.” Feeling the warmth behind him, he knew Susu had arrived. “I'm sorry. I'm so useless...”
