Madman Disease

Beneath the cold fluorescent lights of a convenience store on a stormy night, web-novel editor Duan Yan clutched a waterlogged diary. The words "Duan Yan's Doomsday Survival Diary" on its cover made his pupils contract. In three days, migratory birds would bring the "Madman Disease," and anyone who ran a fever for 72 hours would become a zombie that tore into its own kind!

With no System and no superpowers, all he could do was frantically stock up based on scattered memories from his previous life: emergency rations from the supermarket's basement storeroom, cut-resistant gloves from the hardware store, fuel drums from the auto repair shop... Before Doomsday arrived, he had to move everything that could save a life into a safe house. And before the zombie hordes scattered the crowds, he had to find Su Yan, the kindergarten teacher who was always squatting by the kindergarten gate to play with stray cats.

But when the moonlight on the seventh night fell over the streets, his former colleague "Gray Crow," who had once stared at him with bloodshot eyes at a drinking party and demanded, "What makes you think you deserve it?" stood atop a mountain of corpses, baring bloodstained fangs. It turned out that what was even crazier than the zombies was the human heart, hollowed out by jealousy.
