Synopsis

Our family’s shop is in a sparsely populated ancient town, yet business is booming. Selling coffins, paper effigies, and burial clothes is not our only source of income…

We also ferry souls between the realms of yin and yang, using a spirit boat to carry the dead. The greatest taboo in our line of work is letting the living aboard.

I’m the third-generation heir to the Yin-Yang Shop. I was born with yin-yang eyes, and a fortune-teller said I was fated to bring misfortune, dooming my father, my mother, and even myself.

When I was eight, I came down with a strange illness. The doctors said I wouldn’t live another hundred days.

To save my life, my grandfather had no choice but to send me aboard the spirit boat ahead of time…
