Midsummer Beneath the Shade

Su Ye loved Lu Feng for ten years and waited for him for ten years. Throughout all those years, Lu Feng neither rejected nor accepted her love. Su Ye thought that if she just kept waiting, one day Lu Feng would finally notice her. Instead, she received his wedding invitation. Watching Lu Feng beam with joy at his wedding, she suddenly realized she didn’t love him quite so much anymore. She turned and walked away, only to be struck by an oncoming car. Her life hung in the balance. As she lay unconscious, Su Ye saw an old man with a white beard. He asked, “If you had the chance to go back to the past, would you fall in love with him again?” “No.” “Very well. I’ll give you the chance to go back. If you stop loving him before he arrives today, you’ll be fine. But if you fall in love with him again, you’ll never wake up.” “All right. Go back to when?” Su Ye asked in confusion. “The day you met.”
