The Consort Only Wants to Coast, Yet She Captures the Emperor's Heart

[Both leads are pure + palace intrigue + devotion + the heroine coasts at first, then becomes the emperor’s favorite + clingy, lovesick emperor]

(The emperor is somewhat violent, but he won’t take it out on the women in his harem.)

Dropped into an unfamiliar place for no reason, Jiang Zhiyu was terrified. She knew all too well how unusual she was.

She thought she would have to tread carefully and live on edge here. But the emperor was so violent and unpredictable that nobody paid her any attention. A low-ranking concubine, she decided to coast through life.

One day, while sneaking a bite to eat, she accidentally stumbled upon the emperor’s secret. Jiang Zhiyu was in danger! She packed her things, grabbed her snacks, and prepared to make a run for it, only to be caught by the emperor and carried off to his bedchamber.

(The heroine, Jiang Zhiyu, is a little flower spirit. She’s naive about the ways of the world, but can tell right from wrong. She isn’t a people-pleaser or a self-sacrificing saint; she just wants to be happy every day.)

(The hero, Xiao Yicheng, is a violent and ruthless emperor who values loyalty. At first, he dislikes and despises the heroine, but then he comes around and turns into a sweet, clingy puppy.)

[P.S. The characters might go off course as I write, but I’m open to feedback, so please speak up if anything bothers you. I promise I’ll finish the story. I won’t abandon it or give it a botched ending.]
