Yu Ji was the only person ever to survive the dream after passing through countless near-death experiences. When he returned to reality, he had lost important memories. Now he has returned to the dream, searching for the lover he once lost.
Liang Jie stayed behind in the dream of his own free will, becoming an inspector so he could protect his lover. He does not fear death, but he cannot let anything happen to the one he loves.
As the mist around the dream clears and more and more familiar faces return to their side, Liang Jie and Yu Ji realize that they first met not just in the dream, but much further back.
