Research on the Governance and Integration of Border Areas by the Central Government During the New Deal Period in the Late Qing Dynasty: an Investigation Focusing on Xinjiang, Tibet, and Mongolia

This book takes the New Deal in Xinjiang, Tibet, and Mongolia in the late Qing Dynasty as the research object, and explores from a national perspective the historical context in which the Qing government responded to the border crisis by implementing the New Deal in border areas to penetrate state power into the grassroots of frontier society. Based on a detailed combing of the content and process of the New Deal in the late Qing Dynasty, it explains the internal mechanism of the implementation of the New Deal in the frontier, and objectively analyzes the actual effects of the Qing government's use of the New Deal in strengthening border governance and reintegrating the border areas.
