Dragonborn: a Study of Ancient History in the Yellow River Basin

This book contains 13 articles, which mainly cover special research on ethnic relations, historical geography, border governance and other fields in the Yellow River Basin of China from the Han Dynasty to the Ming Dynasty. The Yellow River Basin is not only the traditional political center in ancient Chinese history, but also one of the main spaces for interaction, exchange and integration among various ethnic groups. It has played a major role in shaping China's unified national form and condensing the consciousness of the Chinese nation's community. To this end, this book starts from an empirical perspective and uses key cases as the research object to examine the historical picture of the close interaction between the various ethnic groups in the Yellow River Basin, highlighting the historical theme of interactions, exchanges and integration between the ancestors of the Chinese nation.
