The Delicate Little Sweetheart Is Spoiled by Her Childhood Friend

[Unrequited love turns mutual + childhood sweethearts + reunion after years apart + meeting again at the top] In the second year after the girl left, Wu Sinian found a jar of folded paper stars in her room. “We got together today. It’s day one, and the sky was pink.” She had folded a pink star. “I kissed him first today. I was so embarrassed, but his lips were so soft...” That star was a fiery red. “We went on a date today...” “We went to the zoo to see the pandas...” “...” Every little star held a piece of him. Every secret in the girl’s heart was about him. Wu Sinian clutched the jar tightly, unable to stop the tears streaming down his face. The refined, handsome young man cried in his room like a child in despair. But he had already lost his little girl... She had written stories about so many people, but none of them had ever been her own. The few times she had been brave and reckless were when she confessed first, kissed him first, and left the country where she had grown up with a suitcase in hand. She thought that if they ever met again, it would be beneath a tree in full bloom, under a clear blue sky dotted with white clouds. She would wear a flowing white dress, and he would be dressed in a suit. Then they would shake hands and say, “Long time no see. Welcome home.”
