Lin Luoluo, a little dandelion fairy, accidentally stumbles upon the scheme of the Divine Lord Xiukun to steal the Heavenly Emperor's imperial horse. She is forced to take a Soul-Loss Pill and demoted to become a ghost official in the City of the Wrongfully Dead. During this time, the amnesiac Lin Luoluo meets Fang Xun, a young immortal who has also been wronged. Though her own circumstances are dire, kindhearted Lin Luoluo keeps encouraging Fang Xun, who is consumed by pain. With Luoluo's comfort, Fang Xun gradually opens his heart, and the two fall for each other amid the darkness of their reality. But someone exposes them and reports them to the Heavenly Court. The Heavenly Emperor flies into a rage and punishes them by sending them into the cycle of reincarnation. After being reborn, the two experience meetings and partings, and a tangle of old resentments and entanglements. In the end, they reunite in the Heavenly Palace with their child.
