Reborn in 1908

Transmigration to the Late Qing and Early Republican Era

Stories about people transmigrating to this period always have them refusing to take even a needle or thread from the people, treating officers and soldiers as equals, and acting all meek even when they have a System. They won't even build up their forces and carve out their own territory. What gives? Are they trying to fast-forward the timeline in another world straight to socialism?

Looking for Stories Set in 19th-Century Europe or America, Whether the Protagonist Transmigrates or Is Reborn
