"Historical Records": "The First Emperor was traveling to Xianyang for a while, and he was accompanied by four warriors. When he went out at night, he encountered a robber in the orchid pond. He was embarrassed. The warrior killed the thief and spent twenty days in Guanzhong. He spent 1,600 meters and 1,600 stones." There is a story hidden in this vague record...

There is a saying in "The Lord of the Rings": history became legend, legend became myth. History is not an empty and trivial annals or a dead thing buried in the sand. It is the people and things that vividly exist at a certain point in the long river of time, with their own flesh and bones and subtleties. However, there is no time machine that can take people back to the past to appreciate the full picture of historical scenery. "Restore history" is a slogan that is neither realistic nor romantic. Therefore, using history as a blueprint and borrowing a little more power to fly has become a classic technique for writers to capture people's hearts. "The Assassination of Qin Shihuang" is guided by the Qin Emperor's night visit to Lanchi recorded in "Historical Records", and transforms the fragments and unfinished parts in the history books into the blank spaces of a grand legendary story, which shows the author's writing power and ambition. How to balance history and storytelling is a key issue to consider when writing historical novels, which requires that they not only have a profound foundation in literature and history, but also must not lack poetic romantic feelings. Obviously, "The Assassination of Qin Shi Huang" is both. The former is reflected in the article's careful study of the etiquette, officialdom, and laws of the Qin Dynasty, which opens up the entrance to historical scenes for readers; the latter is seen in the nesting and presentation of the fantasy martial arts worldview. The knights, sects, fights, and the entanglements between temples and rivers and lakes are all soul-stirring and unique to Chinese legends. In addition to these, the fascinating narrative, humorous thinking, and witty complaints in "Thorn" are all reasons why I strongly recommend it. If you think the comments are too wordy, then I can sum it up in one sentence: Book friends, please feel free to eat! !
Historical suspense reasoning, great book! Great book! Recommend!
I have finished reading "The Assassination of Qin Shihuang" and I was quite moved when I saw the ending. I rarely watch mystery dramas, so I read a few books by Sha Po to lay the foundation. I read less historical novels, because my history studies are so bad that I can't understand many details, so I just ask questions while reading. This book opened my interest in history, and I will definitely read more books like this in the future. I remember these characters in the book. They slowly have their own destiny in the author's writing. It is not what the author writes, but what they jump out to tell the author. The book is finished, but I still seem to care about them... The rivers and lakes are so big and the temples are so high, there are too many things that cannot be placed.
A great book on historical reasoning!
The writing is sophisticated and elegant. Good.
Very beautiful, worth recommending
I've read these books and rarely commented on them, but this one is well written.
The beginning of the story creates suspense and is fascinating. The detailed description of weapons, armor, chariots and battles is like going back to the Qin Dynasty and experiencing that magnificent and thrilling journey in detail.
Good book, worth recommending, could be adapted into a TV series
