My Little Pony: The Heavenly Kirin Descends

The story is set in an era where the protagonist first arrives on the Moon and forms a bond with Nightmare Moon, only to be forced back to Equestria later. You could say this was the setting for my previous book, but sadly, that one is gone.

Then there are the Kirin, who first appeared in Season 8, Episode 23 of My Little Pony. If you haven't seen it, go catch up! They're one of the few elements in My Little Pony that draw on our own Eastern dragon culture, and I love them.

The protagonist's Kirin bloodline comes from a true Kirin. The Kirin of the Extinction Ridge only mutated after obtaining a drop of its blood essence. That's why they have been waiting for generations for the protagonist to be born, and why this book is called The Heavenly Kirin Descends!

I've also established some ancient history that will play a major role later on!

In antiquity, there were many ancient races, until the Yellow Fiend led the Sky-Swallowing Serpent clan in conquering them all.

But under the Kirin's leadership, the races fought back and wiped out the Sky-Swallowing Serpent clan. The Yellow Fiend was gravely wounded, and his body could no longer store magic. That's why he created the Magic Bell, setting the stage for the bell to be stolen and his rule overthrown later on...

And finally, an introduction to the protagonist!

Where the Kirin treads, good fortune follows, and all hardship fades.

All evil is banished, and the world is renewed.

Evil spirits are subdued, and demons swept away.

With this auspicious sign, disaster retreats.

A snowy harvest foretells abundance, and prayers welcome a hundred blessings. A flower came from the heavens and returned to the earth: that was her life's mission. Though frost and snow are cold, she still wants to bring a little warmth to the world.

Tianlin comes to My Little Pony determined to forge a legend of his own!
