{Original World + Original Setting + Gender-Bending Hero + Wild Imagination}

The gods of this world are divided into four ranks.

Rank One: The Gods. The Sun, the Moon, the Earth, and the Sea {creators of the world, according to a conspiracy theory}.

Rank Two: Fire, Water, and the King of the Underworld.

Rank Three: Wind, Ice, Lightning, and the Watcher. {The Watcher was created by the gods to observe the realm and has many small avatars that serve other people.}

Rank Four: The Immortals. Blood, Wood, and Flowers {all minor immortals, whose strengths vary}.

All immortals have blessed lands. After surviving their tribulations, they ascend to sainthood; after becoming saints, they may attain the rank of Venerable. Saints enjoy blessed lands, while Venerables command celestial realms.

Besides the gods, there are also the Seven Deadly Sins and the leader of the witches, all of them beautiful older or younger women.

The male protagonist, Zhi Han, is an ordinary person, or so it seems. At least, his parents were ordinary folk from a village in the wilderness. During a time of war, Zhi Han was simply luckier than most: a woman with snow-white hair down to her waist and dressed in black chose him, and he survived long enough to reach the age when he could venture out into the world. But when the woman left without a word, Zhi Han set out to discover why. Along the way, he made friends and enemies, and witnessed all the wonders the world had to offer.

The king of Herma wants to become an immortal. The kings, who supposedly change every few decades, have in fact been the same person all along. The secret lies with the court’s magical advisor, who can search souls and flay bodies.

Mad, mad, mad! Is it me who’s gone insane, or the whole world?
