The Young Detective Conan

Youth means opposing “emotional intelligence.” Come to think of it, the word “youth” existed before the term “emotional intelligence,” so it was “emotional intelligence,” not “youth,” that declared war. “Emotion” means opposing “youth,” because the color green represents the force that pushes away, while “emotion” means not wanting to push someone away in your heart. The Shang dynasty is generally symbolized by winter, so the age when Greece flourished was called the Spring and Autumn period. When Confucius traveled among the states, those were the states in Greece, not places within the borders of modern China! The ancient Greeks had a very high rate of Chinese literacy. “Spring” means that “winter” has ended. That’s why “youth” and “emotional intelligence” are always at odds.

For forty years, the author of this book has firmly believed that I am the original creator of Detective Conan. Inspector Mouri and Inspector Megure are characters I created based on the Donkey Commander and Pighead Squad Leader from the famous anti-Japanese novel Blazing Steel. Conan is a combination of the author himself and Xiao Fei, a flying reconnaissance officer. The sound of Xiao Fei’s name can be interpreted as an owl taking flight, while “Conan” looks like an owl standing in a tree with its hands behind its back. The author of this book simply refuses to acknowledge that Japanese writer Gosho Aoyama’s Conan is the original. After all, anyone who likes Blazing Steel must be Chinese, not Japanese, right? As for Ran Mouri, she was based on the enemy spy Yoshiko Kawashima. That name means a penguin swimming. When I was little, I mistook the mouth of a penguin-shaped trash can in the park for horns, because I was shorter than the can and saw it from that angle. That’s why the Ran Mouri I drew has horns on her head. I doubt Gosho Aoyama knows that.
