Broki loves the sea and enjoys sailing, but his fiancée, Menalis, fears the seafarers' proverb, “Sailors never make it to heaven!” and has always opposed his voyages. So he decides to end his adventures and settle down with her.
But the day before their wedding, Menalis vanishes without a word, leaving only a letter behind. With nothing to do, Broki spends his days drinking. One day, after a night of drinking, he takes up a bounty from the Maritime Bureau and sets off for Nemo Point, a place no one has ever reached, to find the legendary Heart of Mist and Rain.
Broki and the warriors he recruits set out at once. Along the way, they encounter a giant sea serpent, bizarre sirens, ghastly spiders, a giant turtle that carries an island on its back, strange fire ants, magical mist lotuses... After enduring countless trials, they finally discover Menalis, who had run away from home.
Only then does Broki realize that Menalis’s disappearance was part of an elaborate trap laid by someone with hidden motives. He and everyone around him are caught in the same web, pursued without any chance of escape!
