Genshin Impact: A Madman Who Starts by Hunting Down the Doctor

[It Doesn't Add Up, Parallel Worlds!]

Mi Le's life was good, though not perfect. He only wanted to go out and throw away the trash, but ended up transmigrating to Teyvat.

It was bad enough that his happy life was cut short before it even began. But what was with getting caught by the Doctor from the start?

Still, he had gained the Eight Extraordinary Techniques from The Outcast. So why were they weakened versions? Oh, because his proficiency wasn't high enough.

But absorbing the power of the Archon Residue with his Six Talisman Gates was one thing. What the hell was he doing absorbing the resentment and malice too?

And so begins the story of an ordinary teenager in the new era who occasionally goes off the rails in Teyvat.

He starts out farming, but as he destroys more and more of the Doctor's segments, he wanders further down the path of madness.

That's right, Genshin Impact is a massive open-world exploration game developed by miHoYo...

Ahem. As everyone knows, Genshin Impact has only covered five nations so far, with at least two major versions still to come. So this book isn't entirely tied to the game. It simply borrows much of its setting and worldbuilding. Of course, the world as presented in the game isn't fully developed, so I've added a little “science and dark arts” of my own to make for a more enjoyable read.

So, if you're a stickler for canon, this probably isn't for you. But if you insist on reading and still don't like it, feel free to tear into me... Hehe.
