[Dreams Cannot Reach the Pass, the Mountains Stand in the Way]

The sweeping history of the Three Kingdoms produced countless heroes, but how many of their dreams did it destroy? Who would remember a woman like her? She was no hero, yet she changed the course of the Three Kingdoms.

She was once a black-robed emissary in the service of the Goddess of Mount Wu. After making a mistake at the Peach Banquet, she was banished to the mortal world. Then she mistakenly married an old man, compounding her errors and sealing her fate across both lives. She was Sun Shangxiang, younger sister of Sun Quan, founding emperor of Eastern Wu.

She lost her father in childhood, then lost her elder brothers and mother while still young. Her family was thrown into hardship and treated as a political bargaining chip, yet she somehow ended up in a tale of a beautiful woman falling for a hero.

Her bold and fierce nature doomed her to a troubled marriage.

In a world ruled by men, where heroes were as numerous as clouds, what could a frail woman ever gain, no matter how hard she tried?

From immortal maiden to mortal woman, from the cherished daughter of the Sun household to the wife of an imperial uncle, she experienced both the heavens and the human world, along with a love-hate relationship with Liu Bei. In the end, her soul returned to Mount Wu. Beside the vast Yangtze, the Stone of the Wife Who Waits for Her Husband stands watch, and only the Shrine of the Heroic Princess remains for later generations to pay their respects.
