The Emperor's Favorite Consort Only Wants to Be a Laid-Back Slacker

I’d rather become a cat or a dog than enter the harem. Ning Anyi was despairing over her terrible luck. It was bad enough that she’d landed in a harem novel, but she’d become a nobody, a cannon-fodder character whose accidental death would be mentioned in passing. In the harem, the emperor’s favor was the only way out. But which of the imperial consorts would let her get away with competing for favor? And if she didn’t compete, she’d only get bullied. Maybe she could cling to the original female lead and lie low. Once the female lead rose to power, things might get better for her too. But can someone tell her why the original female lead hasn’t risen yet, while the emperor has set his sights on her...?
