They Tore Down My Family's Ancestral Home, and Now the Ancestors' Coffins Won't Stay Put

In the heart of Nanjiang City, a century-old courtyard house was slated for demolition in the name of development.

Even when the compensation offer reached the astronomical sum of one hundred million, Jiang Yun, the owner of the courtyard, remained unmoved.

That is, until the demolition office ran out of patience and, while Jiang Yun was away, went ahead with a forced demolition.

Demolition office: “We know you’re out, so we’re just letting you know that your courtyard has been slated for forced demolition. Work starts today.”

Jiang Yun was stunned when he got the call.

“They say a million evil spirits are sealed beneath my courtyard. You want to tear it down? Fine! Don’t sleep too soundly tonight. Just wait and see if ghosts come knocking at your door!”

He hung up, and was promptly mocked by officials and netizens alike.

At the order, the demolition began immediately!

Halfway through the job, dark clouds suddenly gathered overhead and thunder boomed.

But it only lasted a short while. Soon the clouds cleared, and nothing happened.

Demolition office: “Quit your spooky act! Keep going. Tear it all down!”

So, after the efforts of more than a hundred workers, the courtyard was reduced to rubble.

They thought that was the end of it. But that night...

Residents all across Nanjiang City heard strange knocking at their doors…
