Ten years ago, Yan Zhili went alone to the West Coast to make it in the film industry.
Ten years later, an unexpected call from the old man brought her back home.
She thought she was just coming back for a vacation and would be free to leave again once it was over, but then she saw the man she loved and couldn’t bring herself to leave.
Half a year after returning home, she went from the nation’s little sister to everyone’s favorite femme fatale.
Before one wave could settle, another rose. She was like a puppet onstage, with countless strings pulling her from behind the scenes.
Only one person stayed by her side from beginning to end: a man who wasn’t good with words.
“Captain Jiang, of everyone I want to see, you’re the most special.”
