Jiang Yuhang has always seen Su Hang as the daughter of his father’s murderer. When he sees his older brother, Jiang Ximu, bring her home, he flies into a rage and suffers another heart attack.
Outside the emergency room, Su Hang rests her forehead against Jiang Ximu’s shoulder and says in a trembling voice, “Yuhang will be all right.”
Jiang Ximu comforts her. “He’ll be all right.”
He Jia Yao, the attending physician, stares at the two embracing figures. The jealousy and anger in his eyes finally turn to icy coldness, until someone in the operating room calls for him.
He could never have imagined this... He had once patiently explained the treatment options to his patient’s older brother, and he had rushed over from the doctors’ lounge after hearing that his patient had suffered a heart attack.
At last, he steadies himself and walks into the operating room, expressionless.
