The Flower Goddess descends among mortals, half elegance, half immortal grace.
A thousand years ago, the Flower Mistress Taoyao failed her tribulation and perished. A thousand years later, she cultivated anew on Mount Tangting and became a peach blossom immortal.
The Peony Flower Mistress said, "Peaches are lush and lovely, their blossoms bright and beautiful. Shall I call you Taoyao?"
Taoyao replied, "Thank you, Flower Mistress, for giving me a name."
The Peony Flower Mistress said, "Taoyao, you still have a destined love in this lifetime. I grant you a hundred years. Once you have settled your earthly ties, I will give you the Peach Blossom Token and honor you as the Peach Blossom Goddess."
Taoyao replied, "I will not fail to live up to your expectations, Flower Mistress."
At their first meeting, the young man was in a sorry state. The girl held out her small hand and said, "From now on, why don't you stay with me?" Looking at his own filthy, disheveled hand, the boy cautiously touched her smooth fingertips.
The girl, bright as sunshine, was the light the boy had long been missing in his darkness.
