Reborn: Raised Under the Red Flag, Growing Up in the Spring Breeze

As a failure in the 23rd century, unemployed and unlucky in love, Jiang Shanshan, an older single woman, refuses to die without leaving a trace. Beneath a sky ablaze with sunset, she makes a heartfelt plea for no reason at all: If I could live my life over, I would surely leave my mark. By some twist of fate, in a dream that used to frighten her with the prospect of death, Shanshan is still lost in terror at the thought that she has died and no longer exists in the world when a “goddess” gently taps her between the brows. The goddess softly says, “As you wish!” Shanshan loses consciousness and arrives in the era beneath the Red Flag, where she gets a fresh start. She devotes her life to her country and serves her homeland, gaining family, friendship, and love, and proving that a wish held close will eventually be answered.
