Early on: [A fiercely skilled, loyal secret guard × a cherished and pampered legitimate eldest princess]
Later on: [A prime minister with immense power × a scheming female emperor born under the fate of the Imperial Star]
[Two strong leads] [Both devoted to each other] [A little white rabbit's transformation]
In the fourth year of the Chaoqi reign, the Empress gives birth to a girl amid auspicious signs from heaven. The Emperor and the Prime Minister observe the heavens, and the Imperial Star descends into the palace.
Overjoyed, the Emperor makes an exception and bestows on the girl the title of Princess Desong, naming her Zhaoyan. He hopes she will extend the dynasty's legacy for a thousand autumns and win the praise of all the people. When she comes of age, she is to reside in the Eastern Palace.
The Sheng family is vast and its branches complex, but every member has always had one mission: protect the Imperial Star and help her ascend the throne.
The Imperial Star's arrival is exceedingly rare. When it appears, the Sheng family must make a careful selection to find the person destined to fulfill the mission. The Imperial Star has a unique fate: to claim the mandate of heaven, she must endure a great tribulation. If she overcomes it, she can ascend the throne and bring blessings to the world. If not, the land will descend into chaos and its people will suffer.
