Secretary Bai Makes the CEO Furious Every Day

The heroine

Bai Qingci graduated from college five years ago and has worked under Qin Shen for those same five years. She’s been dating someone for three years. Oh, right, her boyfriend Qin Shen is also her direct supervisor. As for how this ill-fated relationship began, Buddha says: It cannot be spoken of.

Anyway, at twenty-seven, Bai Qingci finally enters her rebellious phase. She’s quitting her job, breaking up, going home, and lying flat!!!!

The hero

Qin Shen has a good background, a good education, and plenty of talent. Until he turned thirty, his life could be summed up in six words: “Smooth sailing, with fortune on his side.” But in the year he turned thirty, Qin Shen hit the lowest point of his life: His girlfriend ran away!

A little scene

When Bai Qingci told Qin Shen she wanted to break up, he thought it over for a long time before agreeing. He figured she was just under too much pressure and would come back once she’d had a chance to clear her head.

But Bai Qingci had been gone for ninety days, four hours, and thirty-five minutes, and still hadn’t come back to him.

So Qin Shen used a site inspection as an excuse to go looking for her in her hometown.

He had barely entered the village and taken a few steps when he spotted Bai Qingci sitting in the square. After working up countless ways to greet her in his head, he finally gathered his courage and walked over.

“Mom.”

Qin Shen stared at Bai Qingci’s back in disbelief, his mind a complete muddle. A child had just called Bai Qingci “Mom”!?
