This book is the recollection of those who experienced the Anti-Japanese War. During the Anti-Japanese War, they were in their youth. In order to save the nation from danger, they bid farewell to their parents, abandoned their wives and children, and resolutely joined the army. With the blood and enthusiasm of youth, and the coldness and calmness of soldiers, they embarked on the rolling journey of the Anti-Japanese War. They did not retreat or regret. They vowed to let the raging flames of war burn through every inch of the land and to drive the Japanese invaders out of China. The reminiscence articles included in this book all originated from a national essay collection organized by relevant organizations of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference in 1985 to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the victory of the Anti-Japanese War. They were published for the first time after 30 years of dust.
