Synopsis

Annotator Zang Changfeng has studied Chinese myths and legends for many years, and accumulated inspiration while reading "Sou Shen Ji". He consulted a large number of books such as "Dictionary of Chinese Gods and Monsters", "Shan Hai Jing" and "Huainan Zi", and conceived more than 130 scenes of gods and ghosts in "Sou Shen Ji". After communicating with the illustrator Cheng Yuting and Ruida Dianshi Illustration Design Company, he decided to draw these scenes in his mind. In order to assist readers in reading, Zang Changfeng's translation and annotation refer to the Zhonghua Book Company version and the better proofreading versions of other publishers, striving to annotate in easy-to-understand vernacular. At the same time, he consulted classical books from many sources, extended the story a lot, and added a lot of novel and interesting knowledge.
