The theory of advanced neural activity is a summary of Pavlov's many years of experimental research, which is mainly described in "20 Years of Objective Research on Advanced Neural Activity (Behavior) of Animals, Conditioned Reflexes" (1923) and "Lecture Notes on the Function of the Two Hemispheres of the Brain" (1927). He has studied in detail the neural mechanism of temporary connection formation and the regularity of the development and extinction of conditioned reflex activities. During the author's scientific career of more than 60 years, he has made significant contributions in the three fields of blood circulation physiology, digestive physiology and advanced neural activity physiology.
